This star ruby's asterism is pretty weak and even if it sometimes displays a 6 pointed star, most of the time the asterism effect is seen by revealing the typical 6 sided crystal pattern. This ruby cabochon is discounted because of this, but it is still a very nice quality ruby cabochon with a deep red color.
